Misty Copeland is soo amazing. As a photographer, I am in love with how she photographs! Her legs are to die for! I was so surprised to hear that she was starting her own line of dance wear. I think its incredibly smart because dance wear is such an untapped market. The line is for "the average women with average bodies." Shes not lying, sizes will go up to size 16! Though she is one of the worlds top ballet dancer, she doesn't have the typical dancers body. Misty made dance wear for girls like her! The support inside the leotard fits every bust size and the power mesh gives the support of an under wire. I am excited for M by Misty! Being a curvy girl, I know the joy of finding somethings that fits your body shape. When this product drops, all curvy dancers will rejoice!

Take Flight

I am soooo obssesed with the Jeremy Scott Adidas Wing Collection. I am not a sneaker head, but these kicks make me go crazy! I've never been a fan of Jordans or owned a pair for that matter. I usually rock Vans in pop colors and prints but Jeremy Scott has stolen my heart with his colab with Adidas. In fact, my first blog post was on the debut of this collection! I'm so in love with these shoes! When I get my hands on some dough, I will be copping these!

Turban Time

           It's so crazy because at first I didn't really get into the turban trend. I thought that only few people could rock it. But that kind of changed this week.....
          As many of you know, I have been growing my hair out naturally for a year. It has been an amazing journey full of ups and downs. One of the downs is that when you do your hair in a braid out or twist out, you cant really go outside.lol My hair isn't long enough to wear my braid or twist up in a style, so a hat is usually my only option. One day I had to run out but didn't want to look cray cray. So I took a tank top and made a scarf. It was quite fab!
          My sissy decided to go out and get me a real scarf lol I usually wear it back like a gyspy but this week I wanted to try something new. So I started experimented with ways to tie it and came up with my own version of the turban. Since doing my first one, I found other styles I like better but I thought not bad on my first try ;)

 

The jewelry I'm wearing is all from my moms closet. She has the best accessories! I love that goblet of a necklace! It makes such a statement!

Drug of Choice? Alexander Mcqueen

If your a fan of the blog you know that Alexander Mcqueen is my favorite designer. I had a love affair with everything he made! I would sell my right kidney for this collection! *sighs* It seems like I'm always selling a vital organ on my blog for shoes lol I love their take on the wedge trend! I think with this collection its all about the subtle details. The skull face on the zipper, the heart shape open toe. That's what makes it really stand out.

White as Snow

My favorite thing to look for during winter is to see how people will rock their winter white!I think you have to be a serious boss lady to pull off an all white outfit. I think white is one of those colors that looks great on everybody. It highlights skin tones and just makes you look heavenly! Here are a few celebs in their white ensembles.

Iman looks sooo bossy in this white suit! This is why shes the wife of rocker David Bowie!

Kerry Washington has been look so AH-MA-ZING lately. This dress is everything to me!

June Ambrose and her fab turban! I love the easy brezzyness of this outfit.

I love black & white as a combo as much as I love white and gold. Angela looks great in this dress!

Corrine's hair is gorgeous! Though I would've paired different shoes, I adore this look. It's so classic and I think the average person could copy this for a winter look.

Birthday Suit.

My 20th Bday was sooo awesome! Every year I never know what I want to do for my birthday. It always sneaks up on me and I never know what I'm doing till like the week before. Since I was in the same situation this year, my family planned a day of surprises with me. I had a day of laughs, smiles, and almost tears! lol Imagine my face when I came down and saw those Hello Kitty cupcakes!!! I am the biggest Hello Kitty fan. I have purses, clothing, jewelry everything! My fam went to so many places to get these cupcakes and get them just right! I loved everything about my day! Sorry that I didn't take pics of my outfit. One of my gifts was a gorgeous orange cable knit sweater with bell sleeves. I wore that with thick black leggings and ankle booties.

The Adventures Of GStyle

     So I told you guys that I would explain why I haven't been blogging as much. My explanation is tad bit late, but better late than never =] Recently I have been working as Executive Assistant for Vanity Vintage Styling! It has only been a few months but I have learned so much and experienced so much. I'm really loving soaking up all the knowledge and I'm looking forward to applying everything I have learned in the future.

       On a port building shoot the photographer let me take some shots for my own portfolio. I was so grateful! For those who know me, I do a bit of EVERYTHING!
